Imagination Library

Books and kids. Like PB&J.

Children from birth to their fifth birthday whose parent or guardian lives in United Way of Central Minnesota service area are eligible to enroll in the Imagination Library.

The Program

Each enrolled child will receive a new, age-appropriate book sent to their home each month until their fifth birthday. The program is offered to families at no cost and is entirely funded by donations from families, corporations, grants and fundraisers in Central Minnesota. United Way of Central Minnesota is committed to funding 6,000 children per month. At this time we are placing new enrollments on a waiting list.

To place your child on the waiting list, please print the Enrollment Form and mail to the United Way of Central Minnesota office. Please notify United Way of Central Minnesota anytime your address changes. For questions, please call 320.252.0227.

Enrollment Eligibility:

  • Children can be enrolled from birth to their 5th birthday

  • Child’s parent or guardian must live in the United Way of Central Minnesota service area.

If you would like to help support closing the achievement gap in our community, a $30 donation to United Way provides a local child with an Imagination Library book every month for a year. Please select Imagination Library when completing the donation form.

Imagination Library is a partnership between United Way of Central Minnesota and the Dollywood Foundation. An assessment of our local Imagination Library program was completed in 2013.  To receive a copy of the report or key findings, please contact Alexis.
