United Way 2-1-1 is a free and confidential community helpline available 24-hours a day, 7 days a week. 2-1-1 helps people access information they need to navigate the ever increasing and complex array of human services – the first step to finding help is knowing who to call.

The 2-1-1 system covers all of Minnesota. It is the only comprehensive, multilingual, over-the-phone service where people can call to find community resources that can help them, their family, neighbors and friends. United Way 2-1-1 can connect you to resources:

  • Legal help
  • Transportation
  • Child and senior services
  • Volunteer opportunities

Last year, within the eight county area there were more than 8,300 calls and 13,000 referrals. 45% of the calls needed help with basic needs life issues. Funding to support United Way 2-1-1 is provided by Stearns, Benton and Sherburne counties; individual donors; and some United Ways within the eight county area: United Way of Central Minnesota, Caring Rivers United Way, United Way of Kandiyohi County, United Way of Morrison County and Delano Loretto Area United Way.
