Director of Healthy Community
What do you do at United Way of Central Minnesota?
It is a constant work in progress, and I will forever be figuring it out. Yet, I get to collaborate with amazing external partners and colleagues to address the community’s health needs, with a focus on Mental Health. This entails bringing people together to learn more about resources, supporting the wonderful community programs we have in place, and exploring new ideas to address areas that have room for improvement.
What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
Seeing and hearing the positive impact being done by programs supported by United Way.
Favorite quote?
“We are put here to learn to love. Dogs already know how to love, so they don’t have to be here as long.”
Your top favorite Podcast/Book?
Thus Spoke Zarathustra.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Spending time with family and friends. Taking the dogs to the dog park. Watching sports. Hitting golf balls. Reading. Delving into whatever new interest or hobby is piquing my interest at the time.
What is one thing on your bucket list?
To see a Fin whale in person.
